Good policies help us to deliver the quality of service our students deserve.
POLICY 1: SCHEDULE
Entrada Piano Academy accepts students on a 1-year schedule commitment. This includes 41 hour-long lessons covering the Fall-Spring lesson schedule and the Summer lesson schedule. When students enroll in a time slot, they are committing to keep that time slot for the entire lesson schedule block. Eight of the 41 lessons are Performance Classes, where groups of students meet together and perform their pieces. A calendar is provided in advance for the Performance Class times, as they may be at a different time than the student's regular lesson. Please be on time for the lesson and for pickup at the end of the lesson.
Students also receive 2 to 3 opportunities within that 1-year schedule to perform at recitals. Dates are announced 4 to 6 weeks prior to the recital. Family and friends are encouraged to attend and support their student.
POLICY 2: TUITION
Yearly tuition is broken into 12 equal payments and is automatically billed on the first day of each month. Payment can be made with a credit or bank card through our online payment services. Tuition covers lessons, student rewards, recital venues, and materials. Because Entrada is a certified Peery Program academy we provide students with the materials, such as practice charts, binders, and additional resources to support effective practicing. As a service to families, we also purchase student’s music for them, and bill as needed.
POLICY 3: MAKE UP LESSONS
Students who may need to miss their regularly scheduled lesson must cancel at least 30 minutes prior using the online scheduling system, and then select any other open slot during the week to reschedule. Furthermore, if students are ill or will be out of town for an extended period, they may schedule more than one lesson in a week based on open slots available.
POLICY 4: DISCONTINUATION OF LESSONS/BEGINNING LESSONS MID-YEAR
Occasionally a student isn't able to complete an entire year of piano lessons. If this is the case, please contact us as soon as possible. There will be a final pro-rated bill based on the number of lessons taught during that calendar year. For students entering the Academy in the middle of the calendar year, we will also pro-rate tuition until the next calendar year begins in the fall, afterwards which students are billed at the current rate.
POLICY 5: OTHER
Please make sure students come with clean hands (or they can wash their hands when they arrive), and that they don't bring food to their lessons. Also no toys, games, etc. Thanks!
